We use state of the art film scanners for our 8mm & Super 8mm film transfers. Our scanners bypass the use of the film sprockets and scan each frame using a reel driven transport with active tension control to ensure the safest and highest quality transfer.

We can transfer Polavision Film
Polavision to mp4 digital file, USB & External hard drive
POLAVISION was a instant movie camera developed by Polaroid in the late 1970’s. The small rectangular plastic box contained film (super 8) with a small lens and prism at the end for projection. This projection was done through a stand-alone projector/viewer that was developed by Polaroid to help reduce the dense film viewing. This film density problem plus the the timing of its’ release, with Betamax and VHS launching at that time, ended up to be a failure for Polaroid.
Our Process
Through our careful process, we remove and spool each cassette of film. We then transfer each spooled cassette to an mp4 video file and return the empty cassettes, each one numbered, with the corresponding number on the reels. You will receive back the original cassette(s) intact along with the original boxes if applicable. Each box and/or cassette will be numbered along with that same corresponding number on each reel of film.

The transfer price for Polavision is $29 per cartridge for a transfer to mp4 digital file with film returned on reels

The transfer price for film is $0.39 per foot for a transfer to mp4 digital file.

We transfer each film reel to its own mp4 digital file. You can opt to keep each video file separate, or choose to have us edit all the clips together to make one long video that will play in chronological order. We can even add titles and music! Our music library is filed by decade so we can always provide era specific songs or if you prefer, you can supply your own song lists.
With transfers being done to mp4 video file we recommend these files be saved and archived on an external hard drive. We believe in providing a solution that ensures your movies are safely archived and always accessible so you can watch them on demand and share them easily, now and for the future. For this reason, we no longer recommend transferring to DVD as the DVD is quickly becoming obsolete.
