Explore current projects and read real stories of how our work brings memories to life and makes a lasting impact on the families we serve.
The Keep:
An English name for the strongest part of a castle, and the name my British grandfather gave his tool shed. Now, it’s the name we use for our Log Book here at Beacon. Just like the old Lighthouse Keeper’s Log books that were once used to record the tasks of the lighthouse staff, we use The Keep to track our tasks and projects.
Take a scroll through The Keep to see what we’re working on and hear what our customers are saying about the work we’ve done.
What we’re working on here at Beacon
Dear Mom & Dad:
Letters Home From a WWII Soldier
We’re carefully custom scanning each letter to make digital image files of each page that we will then use to create a family history photo book. What a beautiful tribute to their son’s journey.

We’re working on transferring Polaroid Polavision Film from the 1980’s. This proprietary film format is no challenge for us! We understand what it is and how it needs to be handled. We love working with Polavision!
We love getting in bins like this! A messy collection of VHS tapes, Camcorder tapes, and even an old underwater film camera, is our jam! Thank you for your trust in us. We can’t wait to get started on this project!
Whether your project is standard or not, your invoice will never be beyond what you aproved at the start. We provide a Project Work Order & Estimate for your approval before we begin working and if we ever run into a stiutaion that requires more than the estimate, we always reach out to disucss the issue and cost. We then revise the estimate for your approval again. We are even more than happy to break up a large project into phases over the course of several months.
We’ve been busy fixing torn tapes. Broken and torn tapes are very common, especially with 8mm camcorder tapes. These tapes are so much smaller, thinner and more fragile than their predecessor VHS tapes. For that reason, 8mm camcorder tapes are unfortunately susceptible to tears, breaks and jams and even mechanical failure within the little cassette itself. Tape repairs are an extra service charge, but we’ll go to work on any level of repair needed. Our business is saving your memories so we’ll make every effort to do just that. The repair cost is never a surprise. We send you an estimate for what it will take and always wait to get your approval first.
A Super 8mm Kodak film project arrived to us in the mail. These little reels are 50-foot reels and average about 3-4 minutes of video each. They are fun to transfer and even more fun for you to watch since you most likely haven’t seen them in 30+ years if at all! We transfer each reel to its own mp4 video file. You can opt to keep each video file separate, or choose to have us edit all the clips together to make one long video that will play in chronological order. We can even add titles and music! Our music library is filed by decade so we can always provide era specific songs or if you prefer, you can supply your own song lists.

“Becky, I’ve finally watched the completed videos. They look so great! The one that I wanted all the editing done on is so smooth and perfect, doesn’t look choppy at all!
Thank you so much for doing what you do. Preserving these memories for me in this format is very comforting!”

“Hi Becky,
Well first of all…YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!!
We had a gorgeous day, a wonderful event and the video was a massive hit! Even the handful of kids were on the edge of their seats the whole time. Everyone had great comments after the fact…the subject matter (of course), the music and best of all the presentation. They loved the way it kept you totally rapt throughout the entire show.
It was obvious to all that there was a lot of TLC put into the final product!
As I mentioned before, this has been a wonderful journey and you are now part of it!
It’s been wonderful working with you and developing a connection well beyond the professional aspect.
Thanks again for everything!”

” My family and I planned on gathering all those special family pictures stored in photo albums into a special slide movie. Now that we are getting up in years, we wanted the future generations to be able to see what we looked like and able to put a face to their parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. After collecting the pictures we made contact with Becky and Beacon Digital. The results were extraordinary! We now have a pictural memorial of our entire family which is priceless. Becky guided the process, made suggestions, made herself available throughout, and created a pictural story along with engineered special effects that were remarkable. Her passion for creativity and ongoing consultation gave us a slideshow movie that we will always cherish as a family.Becky, I can’t say and praise you enough about your excellent customer service, ongoing guidance, and professional touches that gave our family truly a work of art and enjoyment that I am sure will be cherished by our family for generations to come Thank you Becky!!!”Mark R.
